If you are unable to attend your test on the scheduled date, you can request a reschedule. Transfers are permitted only if the new date is at least 15 days from your current application date, and you must provide supporting documentation to justify the change.

For requests made 34 days or more in advance, you can reschedule without needing to provide a specific reason or supporting documents. When rescheduling, your new test date must be within 3 months of the original date.

Ideally, submit your transfer request at least 5 weeks before your test date, either in person or via email. New test dates are allocated at the discretion of the test center and are subject to slot availability.

If the request is made more than 15 days in advance for a booking paid online, you must provide supporting documentation for your cancellation request, which will be subject to IDP approval.

Important points to note:

  • Cancellation requests made less than 15 days before the test are not accepted, and no refunds will be issued.
  • Refund amounts depend on when the request is submitted:
    • At least 5 weeks before the test: You will receive a full refund.
    • Within 5 weeks of the test: With a compelling reason and required documentation, you receive a refund minus a 25% deduction; otherwise, no refund is provided.
  • If the request is made more than 34 days before the test, you can cancel without documentation, though you must provide a reason for the cancellation.

The supporting document requirements are the same for both cancellation and rescheduling. Please contact your test center for the most current process information.
